The 8 week Vocational Pathways Program delivers an exciting and hands-on learning experience that encourages young women to challenge themselves, build confidence, and discover new possibilities. Guided by NSW fire and emergency service personnel alongside dedicated regional community volunteers, the program promotes teamwork, resilience, leadership, and personal growth through engaging practical activities and real-world scenarios.
Participants are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones in a supportive and empowering environment, developing valuable life skills while being inspired by local mentors and experienced facilitators. Through experiential learning, young women gain insight into the importance of community connection, preparedness, and collaboration during emergencies and disasters.
The Fire-Up Girls Fire & Resilience Program not only equips participants with practical emergency preparedness skills but also opens pathways to meaningful careers and volunteer opportunities within the fire and emergency services sector. By the end of the program, participants leave feeling empowered, capable, and inspired — with the confidence, knowledge, and resilience to help keep themselves, their families, and their communities safe.
