Inspire the next generation of emergency service leaders! The Life Ready Fire & Resilience Program, delivered by Girls on Fire, is a hands-on workshop introducing students to the fire and emergency services sector. Through practical activities, teamwork challenges, and emergency response demonstrations, students build communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while learning how emergencies are managed in NSW. Girls on Fire is excited to deliver the Life Ready Fire & Resilience Program at Northern Beaches Secondary College, Freshwater Campus. These interactive workshops introduce students to the world of fire and emergency services through hands-on activities and team challenges.

Program highlights:

Hands-on experiences demonstrating the physical and teamwork demands of first responders
Practical demonstrations including hose operations, extinguishers, and water/flood response activities
Understanding the importance of diverse and multi-skilled emergency service teams

Students will explore how emergencies are managed in NSW while developing communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The sessions also highlight career and volunteer pathways, the importance of inclusive teams, and the role young people can play in building stronger, more resilient communities.
