Mentor Development Day - Canberra ACT - October 30th

Get ready for one packed day of hands-on learning, teamwork, and empowerment at the Girls Fire & Resilience Camp in ACT. Taking place on Thursday October 30th at the Emergency Services Agency (ESA) Training Centre in Hume, this free program invites young women aged 14 to 19 to step into the world of fire and emergency services and build the skills to thrive in any situation. Supported by NAB and the NAB Foundation, and delivered in partnership with fire and emergency services, the camp is open to the public and offers a great opportunity for teens to take part in a fun and meaningful experience. NAB staff are also warmly invited to get involved and support the program as a volunteer.

Participants will take part in physical activities, practical simulations, and team-based challenges—all led by experienced emergency services personnel and local community mentors. The program is designed to build confidence, resilience, leadership, and a sense of belonging in a safe and inclusive environment.

We especially welcome young women from First Nations communities and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to join us.
