The workshop will be held in Lake Macquarie on Thursday 19th September  . All young women are welcome in this safe and inclusive space, with a special encouragement for young women and teens from First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to attend the program.

The Girls Fire & Resilience program offers a hands-on, practical experience where young women are inspired to try new things. Led by NSW fire and emergency service personnel and community volunteers, it fosters teamwork, confidence, resilience, and leadership. Participants engage in physical group activities, stepping outside their comfort zones to build essential life skills. Local mentors and activity facilitators provide guidance and inspiration in an experiential learning setting.

The Girls Fire & Resilience program not only equips young women with essential skills but also empowers them to explore rewarding careers or volunteer opportunities in the fire and emergency service. Participants will leave the program with the confidence, skills, and emergency preparedness knowledge to stay safe, help their communities and understand their important role in community resilience

Registration is still available for volunteers.
