Get ready for one day of hands-on learning, teamwork, and career exploration. This free program invites you to step into the world of emergency response while building skills to thrive in any workplace and networking with local agencies.
You’ll take part in physical activities, practical simulations, and team challenges—all led by experienced emergency services personnel and local mentors. The program is designed to build confidence, resilience, leadership, and a sense of belonging in a safe and inclusive environment.
Date: 10 October 2025 (open to all participants to the Workforce Australia Local Jobs Program)
Location: NSW SES Wagga Wagga Unit, 208A Fernleigh Rd, Ashmont.
Program Highlights:
- Fire science, extinguishers, hose, hydrant drills, and radio communication mitigation crew roles
- Functional fitness, teamwork, and personal protective equipment training
- Next steps workshop: how to apply, where to connect, and how to make career pathways
- Networking with local fire, flood, and emergency professionals
- Lunch and refreshments are provided. Please include any dietary needs in your registration.
